Congratulations to @lilias1 for her victory at the very elite La Jolla Invitational 70.3 Triathlon. I wish she’d stop wearing her tiara all around town! 😘
Today I’m thankful to celebrate eight years of recovery from the tyranny alcohol had in my life. Too many mornings swearing “that” was never going to happen again. Promising myself I was better. Trapped. Defeated. On 29 September, 2012, I reached out my hand to another alcoholic and I asked for help. I went to Alcoholic Anonymous meetings. I tried to serve others. I began to clean up the wreckage I caused. A miracle happened. The obsession to drink was lifted and I found peace. That doesn’t mean life is always “love and light”! But I don’t have to drink and get drunk to “solve” my problems. Reach out if you’re struggling, there is a solution. Peace!

With very little racing going on, @lilias1 doesn’t complain (in public 🤣) but does her own 70.3s. She is 2-0 winning the whole thing! This time the Covid 70.3 with a swim from La Jolla shores, ride up the coast and back, and then a very hilly half-marathon! Congratulations! 🥇🎖🏅🏊‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️🏃‍♀️
